In early 1988, prior to the shows, Phil Cushway asked artist Alton Kelley to create a poster for the upcoming Pink Floyd concerts in Tokyo, which he did.
Printed in the lower right corner, it says:
"88 © Kelley"
I put Cushway in touch with Pink Floyd, and he offered them the poster for the upcoming shows in Japan. I do not know the amount of the fee that was asked for the poster.
The band turned down the offer and the poster was never used in Japan.
However, 100 copies of the poster had been printed, so they were signed and numbered by Alton Kelley, and then sold via mail order. I helped sell these posters by sending out flyers offering this poster for sale.
The 100 original copies that were silkscreen printed are hand signed and numbered in the lower right corner next to the copyright line:
"xx/100 Kelley"
A second printing of this poster has the copyright line, together with Kelley's signature, printed in the lower right corner, but is not signed or numbered.
Subsequent printings of this poster have nothing in the lower right corner.
